Waterville Leads!
Passes Moratorium on Data Centers
The city of Waterville Ohio council votes UNANIMOUSLY to put a 6 month moratorium on Data Center applications for any land in the city.
This is the first moratorium of any kind to oppose potential Data Center development in Lucas County or in Northwest Ohio. BZZZ!
Here is a link to the video of the entire Waterville council meeting the discussion is throughout the meeting but the vote takes place around the 2:10:00 mark
Notably Paul Miller who is running for Ohio House Distric 44 spoke at 00:22:50 strongly about the issue telling the Waterville leaders that they would be dealing with lawsuits from residents including him if they didn't pass the moratorium.
