Ever heard the term nonpartisan election and wondered what it means?

In a nonpartisan election, candidates’ political party labels (like Republican or Democrat) don’t appear on the ballot. You’ll just see their names. These elections are common for local offices—like mayor, council, school board, or judges—where the focus should be on qualifications, service, and community issues rather than national party politics.

The idea is simple:

Keep the attention on what matters most—our community and the people who serve it.
